It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wilhelmena Brown Alston (Saint George, South Carolina), who passed away on May 27, 2021, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Jefferson Alston; her parents, Lela Brown and Sam Brown; her stepmother Ada Brown; her daughter Evelyn Alston (Ferdinand); and her siblings, James Brown (Janie), Arthur Lee Brown (Anna Lee), Ulysee Brown (Mildred), Dennis Brown (Mary) and Helen (Jesse).
She is survived by: her children, Jefferson Alston Jr. (Janice), Mark Alston, Jamal Alston (Keisha), Alice Bolden, Wilhelmena Alston, Sylvia Torres (Mark) and Cynthia Alston; her sister Minnie Sue Craig; and her grandchildren, Kevin Alston, LaSonda Alston, Diane Harrison (Tony), Sean Raikes, Jamel Raikes, Dawn Alston, Kisha Patterson (Maurice), Coi Epps (Myke), Troy Alston, Kerin Bolden and Khalima Bolden. She is also survived by grandkids, 10 great great grand kids, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
