With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Sauls Knight of Saint George, South Carolina, born in Columbia, South Carolina, who passed away on August 24, 2022 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Cecil Sauls and Virl Derrick Sauls; her brother Tommy Sauls (Gale) of Alcolu; and her stepson David Knight of St. Augustine, FL.. She is survived by: her sisters, Ann Adams (late Gurney) of West Columbia, Eunice Hobgood (Lewis) of Winnsboro and Dorothy "Doodle" Hendrix (late Jerry) of West Columbia; her cousin Bonnie Nelson of Columbia; her close friend Behling Street (Piggly Wiggly); her daughter Allyson Knight Hutchins (John S. Hutchins) of Greer, SC.; her grandchildren, Matthew, Sam and Claire; and her stepdaughters, Kathy Schirmer (Michael) of Fort Worth, TX and Julie Combs.
