He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Finley and Annie Lee Pendarvis Finley; and his sister Bonnie F. Thomas. He is survived by: his children, Roy A. Finley, Jr. (Dana) of Lexington, Jim Finley of Lexington and Melissa F. Spires (Craig); his grandchildren, Tosha Finley, Corey Robinson, Matthew Robinson, Roy Finley, III (Kristen), Jason Finely (Alicia), Joey Finley (Alice) and Jasmine Finley; his sisters, Mary Cummings (Harry) and Peggy Moore; and his brother-in-law Robert Thomas of St. George. He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Indian Field United Methodist Church, 2030 Highway 15 North, St. George, SC 29477.
