He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley Mixson and Doris Rivers Mixson; and his brothers, Billy Mixson and Jerry Mixson. He is survived by: his son James Mixson (Jenn); his stepchildren, Leslie Brill and Mark Willard; and his sisters, Betty Mixson Rickborn (Tommy) and Jean Kern. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the youth ministries at St. George Methodist Church or Old St. George Baptist Church.
