It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Lee Gilliard of Saint George, South Carolina, who passed away on February 1, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sammie Sr. Gilliard and Mattie Mae Gilliard; his wife Vivian Holman Gilliard; his son Robert Lee Gilliard Jr.; and his siblings, Margie Gilliard, Bertha Mae Seward, Jervy Gilliard and Franklin Gilliard.
He is survived by: his children, Donald Fuller (Zelda), Estelle James (Daniel), Ruthie Bailey, Kenrell Holman and Jolesia Holman; his siblings, Sammie (Jannie Mae) and Mary Bradley (Haynes); his siblings-in-law, James Holman Jr., McCray Holman, Herman Holman (Harriett), John Clay Holman, Vernon Hallmon, Willie Mae Polly and Martha Mae Brown; his godson Raymond Elmore (Tonya); his nieces, Nancy Brown and Marian Brown; his great-nephew Elijah Johnson; and his sons, Richard Lee Holman and Keshawn Robinson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Stevens Funeral Home (107 S Parler Ave, St George, SC 29477). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Miracle Faith Temple United Church of God (1771 Branchdale Hwy, Vance, SC 29163).
