We bid farewell to Mary Lee Goodwin of Saint George, South Carolina, born in Holly Hill, South Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 7, 2024 at the age of 96. Mary Lee touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Elmore and Janie Grant. She is survived by: her cousin Martha (Shortie); her granddaughter Monica; her great grandchild Jahwan; her children, Janie Murray of Jamaica, NY, Cleveland Grant of Reevesville, SC, Mervin (Betty), Ervin J., Joseph of Holly Hill, SC, Charles (Cynthia) of Columbia and Elvin of Jamaica, NY; and her sisters-in-law, Nether Mae Goodwin of Kingstree, SC, Sarah Summers (Annie Bell) of Holly Hill, SC, Mae West Elmore of Elloree, SC and Helen Elmore of Vance, SC. She is also survived by twenty-five grandchildren, thirty-eight great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
