She was predeceased by: her husband Grady Lee Mellard of St. George; her parents, Johnny Pinckney and Emma Essie Martin Jackson; her son Herman Wayne Mellard; and her siblings, Allen Jackson, Legare Jackson, Wilbur Jackson, Gloria Horne of Johnny and Dorothy Murrell.
She is survived by: her children, Kenneth Lee Mellard (JoAnn), Carol Atkins (Michael) of Lenoir, NC, Barbara Louise Infinger (Rickey) of St. George, Frances Marie Fralix (Gene Brownlee) of St. George and Ruby Dorita Clark (Hozea); her sister Millie Singletary; her grandchildren, Nancy Quattlebaum (Ronald), Richard Infinger (Christi Wagers), Cathy Jo Mellard, Denise Roberts (Bart), Jeremy Brownlee, Kenneth Mellard, Jr., Tennille Cooper (Bobby), Wesley Infinger (Erica), Jason Clark, Brian Fralix and Michael Atkins, Jr. (Renee); and her great grandchildren, Connor McLane (Jake), Nickolaus Quattlebaum (Sonni Brown), Coty Mellard, Dustin Flood, Johnathan Atkins, Dane Atkins, Tyler Infinger (Serena Hilton), Caroline Roberts (Will Turner), Will Roberts, Catie Cooper, Celeste Roberts, Marissa Cooper, Breanna Cooper, Jonathan Infinger, Dargan Cooper, James Infinger, Jason Infinger, Cameron Brownlee, Katie Clark and Bailey Clark.
