It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gladys Fields Sweatman of Saint George, South Carolina, who passed away on March 4, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, A. Clyde Dukes, Sr. and Virginia Shieder Dukes; her spouse Carlyle C. Fields; and her sister Ellen Bruce. She is survived by: her son Shane Edward Fields; her siblings, Walter Dukes, Arthur Dukes and Maragaret Felder Hutto; her daughter Yvette Marie Fields Kurtnacker (David); her stepdaughter Kitty Bishop (Michael); her grandsons, Robert Conrad Gruber, Joseph Carlyle Gruber and Wesley Allen Gruber (Valerie Mesa); and her great grandchildren, Carolina Ramsey, Cheyanne Gruber, Landon Gruber, Thomas Ramsey and Rachel Ramsey.
