Minnis, Bernard Toomer, Jr., Michael Toomer and Sonji Toomer; his grandchildren, Courtney, Debbie, Nia and Ashley; his great grandchildren, Adonis, Amaiya and A'mere; and his siblings, Brenda Toomer, Betty Toomer, Shirley Cole and Allan Toomer. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
