He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Blackman Johnston; his brothers, John Johnston of Walterboro, SC, Harry Johnston of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Kirk Johnston of Spartanburg, SC; his children, John Sullivan Johnston (Stephanie) of Johns Island, SC and Happy Johnston Walden (Trey) of Charleston, SC; and his grandchildren, Maddox Johnston, Josey Jennings and Jackson Jennings.
