She was predeceased by: her husband Keith Barrott Benton; her parents, John Willoughby Wethington and Allie Christine McQuagge Wethington; her son Ricky Herndon; her grandson Bryan Benton; and her siblings, Harold Wethington, Shirley Reavis, Allie Rahn, Joan Wethington and Betty Alderman.
She is survived by: her children, Johnny Herndon (Linda) of Islandton and Patricia Herndon of Islandton; her daughter-in-law Sonya Herndon of Hendersonville; her stepchildren, Terry Benton (Toni) of Evans, Georgia and Sandra Crider (Joey) of Knoxville, Tennessee.; her brother James Wethington (Claudia) of Santa Clara, California; her sister-in-law Mary Wethington of Lexington; and her close friends, Tawana of Ruffin, Dillon Avant of Ruffin and Stevie Fox of Ruffin. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
