It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sarah Ann Hiers Smyly of Ruffin, South Carolina, who passed away on November 28, 2020, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Raymond Edward Smyly; her parents, Louie Capers Hiers and Reba Davis Hiers; and her brother Louie Hiers. She is survived by: her children, Tony Smyly (Kathy) of Ruffin, Greg Smyly (Donna) of Ruffin and Yvonne Herndon (Benjie) of Ruffin; her brothers, Marshall Hiers of Varnville, Dan Hiers (Linda) of Hampton, Doug Hiers (Vickie) of Hampton and Terry Hiers of Varnville; her siblings-in-law, Mary Ann Hiers, Lamar Smyly and Allen Smyly; her grandchildren, T. J. Smyly, English Smyly (Elizabeth), Bryce Smyly, Tanner Smyly, Brantley Walling, Frankie Jacques (Rachel), Mark Jacques and Allen Jacques (Samantha); and her great grandchildren, A. J. and Shawn. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be directed in her memory to: Saint Jude Children Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
