He was predeceased by: his parents, Ervin Richard Ryan and Pearl O'Bryan Ryan; and his siblings, Ervin Ryan, Jr., Aurelia Kinard, Carolyn Ryan, Evelyn Ryan and Delores Garner.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Fender Ryan of Ruffin; his children, Brenda Ryan Rankin (Ricky) of Coosawhatchie and Marshall Windell Ryan, Jr. (Lisa) of Springfield, Georgia; his grandchildren, Ricky Rankin, Casey Smith and Chad Teston; and his great grandchildren, Evan, Kinleigh, Kara, Finley and Tucker.
