She was predeceased by: her spouse Floyd Osborn Lyons; her parents, Charles Mixson and Belle Hood Mixson; her son-in-law Carroll Nettles; and her granddaughter Lynn Preveaux (Kevin).
She is survived by: her daughter Doris Smoak Nettles of Ruffin; her brother James Mixson of Berkeley County; her grandchildren, Kathy Nettles of Ruffin and Carlotte Jackson (David) of Walterboro; her great grandchildren, Allen Preveaux (Leslie), Steven Preveaux (Courtney), Joshua Barnes, Rebekah Barnes, Nicholas Jackson and Haley Jackson; and her great great grandchildren, Emma Preveaux, Natalie Preveaux, Jaxson Preveaux and Naomi Kristina Costa.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be directed in her memory to: Shiloh Baptist Church for the Janie Chapman State Missions Fund, 10565 Lowcountry Highway, Ruffin, South Carolina 29475.
