It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Valentine of Ruffin, South Carolina, born in Columbia, South Carolina, who passed away on March 8, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Valentine and Mary Ellen Valentine. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Smyly Valentine; his daughters, Charla Connelly (Eddie), Carmon Jones (Eric) and Cara Cook (Tyler); his grandchildren, Bailey, Emma Connelly, Garrick, Maddie Jones, Wyatt and Beau Cook; his sisters, Dee Ann DuBoise, Myrtle Valentine and Donna Smyly Myrick; his brother-in-law Roger Myrick; his nephew Ryan Myrick (Susan); his niece Rebecca Smith (Brabham); his great-nephews, Parker and Thomas Myrick; and his great-niece Sanders Myrick. He is also survived by other nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to St. John United Methodist Church, c/o Angela Maxey, 1145 Getha Road, Ruffin, SC 29475, where he was a member and served as a trustee.
