He is survived by: his wife Barbara Hicks Padgett of Ruffin; his daughters, Ann Padgett Simmons (Wayne) of Hampton and Christie Padgett Carter (Jay) of Johns Island; his grandchildren, Laura Syfrett Wolcott (Caleb), Erin Simmons Berry (Jeff), Trey Carter (Lindsey), Brandon Carter, Nicholas Carter and Evan Simmons; his great grandchildren, Abigail Carter, Riley Berry and Raymond Berry; and his brothers, S. K. Padgett (Betty) of Hudson Mill and Dale Padgett (Dianne) of Walterboro. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
