He was predeceased by: his parents, Reverend R. C. Johnson, Sr. and Florence Lifsey Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Ann Smith Johnson (Patti); his children, Richard Mark Johnson, Dana Frances Holmes and Dr. Angel Johnson Tucker; his siblings, Edgar Johnson (Joyce), Sherry Gooding (Ron) and Lyn Negri (Paul); and his son Chaplain Captain Robert W. Johnson, Sr. (Johnson, Sr.). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
