She was predeceased by: her parents, W. C. "Johnny" Gulledge and Flonnie Welsh Gulledge; her husband Knox Thurman; her siblings, Travis, Robert, Howard, John (Johnnie B.), Jady Gulledge and Dorothy Giles Gulledge; her niece Marie Giles Brown; and her nephew Loyd Jr. Giles.
She is survived by: her stepson Ronald; her daughter-in-law Sherri Thurman; her granddaughter Cassie Thurman Davis (Leslie); and her nieces and nephews, Dennis Gulledge (Rita), Kevin Gulledge, Linda Varner, Kenneth Gulledge, Michael Gulledge, Paula Williams, Pam Cranford and Phil Gulledge.
