With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Larry R. Gainey of Ruby, South Carolina, born in Darlington, South Carolina, who passed away on January 6, 2021 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis B. Gainey and Mittie Purvis Gainey; and his siblings, Walter "Bobby" Gainey and Anita Hicks. He is survived by: his wife Ruby Gainey; his children, Robert Gainey (Bobbi) of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, Mark Gainey (Mindy) of Council, NC, Crystal Stamey (Dennis) of Wallace, SC and Michelle Wilks (Pete) of Hartsville, SC; and his siblings, Otis Gainey, Jr. of Chesterfield, SC and Pat White of Patrick, SC. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.
