He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles W. Wells and Helen Davis Wells; his daughter Angela Wells Knigge; and his siblings, Howard Wells, Grace Ann Medlin, Carl Wells, Vernon Wells, Virginia Parrish and Lonnie Mae Oakley.
He is survived by: his wife Ruby Jean Hall Wells; his daughter Susan Jean Comisky (Richard) of Columbia; and his stepchildren, Jamie Bailey (Debbie), Ricky Bailey (Natalie) and Rhonda Peake. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
