She was predeceased by: her parents, Bartholemew Sexton and Edna Mae Matheson Sexton. She is survived by: her husband Arthur Fairey Whetstone; her sons, Paul Gregory Whetstone (Stacey) of Morristown, TN and Jeffery Oliver Whetstone (Stephanie) of Princeton, NJ; her grandchildren, Paul, Emily, Frank Whetstone, Cole and Jack Henry Whetstone; and her siblings, Billy Joe Sexton (Mary) of Deer Lodge, TN, Tinsley Barton Sexton (Machelle) of Wartburg, TN, Tomas Wayne Sexton of Wartburg, TN and Betty Lou Francisco (Jim) of Greenfield, IN. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Sue was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2006.
