He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Gordon Smith and Dessie Rachel Smith; his wife Kathryn G Smith; and his siblings, Elizabeth Smith of Branchville, Gary Smith and Gordon "Smitty" Smith.
He is survived by: his sons, Tony Sullivan (Jennifer) of Cope and David "Skip" Smith of Gaston; his siblings, Gerald Smith (Marsha) of Branchville, Gail Smith of Aiken and Gloria Morris (Bob) of Lexington; his grandchildren, Chris Crocker (Kit) of Columbia, Amber Funderburk (Luke) of Neeses, Nick Sullivan (Caitlin) of Neeses and Stacy Pierce (Mark) of Lexington; and his great grandchildren, Chase Crocker, Nathan Crocker, Carson Funderburk, Reece Funderburk and Jared Pierce.
