He is survived by: his wife Betty Jo Marrs; his daughters, Kathryn Conti (Edward), Abigail Marrs and Jennifer Heglar (Derrick); his stepsons, Chris Smutzer (Tammy) and Harry Smutzer (Cecelia); his grandchildren, Jesse Smutzer, Jordan Smutzer, Darren Smutzer, Eric Smutzer, Austin Smutzer, Dylan Heglar and Hayden Heglar; and his sister Rebecca Mackey.
