He was predeceased by: his mother Margaret Bloodsworth Melton; and his sister Marie Cribbs. He is survived by: his wife Faye Hudson Melton; his son Justin Lynn Melton; his stepson Jeremy Duncan (Jennifer); his daughters, Misty Karsmizki (Donnie) and Tomica Ann Melton; his stepdaughter Michelle Al-Wardat; his nephew Nick Melton (Rachel); his great-nephew Jaxson Melton; and his brother Larry Melton (Sindy). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren.
