He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas C. Layton and Kathleen Walker Layton; and his brothers, Rickie Layton and Ray Layton. He is survived by: his wife Elaine Berry Layton; his sons, Tommy Layton (Jillane) of Boiling Springs, SC and Timothy Layton (Melody) of Simpsonville, SC; and his grandchildren, Chelsea, Katie, Kaleb and Kara.
