He was predeceased by: his parents, William Henry Montjoy and Willie Mae Moore Montjoy; and his brother Charles Montjoy. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Rankin Montjoy; his children, Melvyn Gregory Montjoy, Jennifer Montjoy Cook and Stanley Paul Rainwater; and his siblings, William Lamar Montjoy (Brenda) and Sandra Hellams (Roy). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
