He was predeceased by: his parents, Vivian Marshall and Dupre Morgan; and his brother-in-law Julian "Smitty" McArthur. He is survived by: his wife Susan George Morgan; his daughters, Amanda Morgan Stephens (Adam) and Jessica Mallory Morgan; his grandchildren, Wyatt Stephens, Walker Stephens and Silas Rodgers; and his sisters, Brenda McArthur and Phyllis Mauldin (Larry).
