It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lydia Patterson (Roebuck, South Carolina), born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, who passed away on September 21, 2023, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Willis M. Chastain and Beatrice June Combahee Chastain; and her siblings, Martie Clifton Chastain, Cynthia Kay Chastain Bradford and Susan Bea Chastain Hoy.
She is survived by: her husband Glenn Teasley Patterson; her daughters, Kathryn June Patterson and Lauren Elizabeth Patterson; and her aunt Doris Chastain Solesby. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to Spartanburg Academic Movement (SAM) in order to honor her career as an educator.
