She was predeceased by : her spouse S. Gowan; her parents, Hayden Carl and Bertha Lee Sumner Lee; her sister Elaine Fowler; and her son-in-law Nelson Terry.
She is survived by : her daughters, Jane Ann Gibson (Donald), Joyce Quesenberry (Harold), Judy Terry and Libby Robison (David); and her siblings, Gwendolyn Johnson and Wendell Lee. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Gowan's memory to Mount Calvary Presbyterian Church, 1399 Walnut Grove Road, Roebuck, SC 29376.
