He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Gossett and Elizabeth Gossett; his wife Patricia Painter Gossett; and his siblings, Jay Gossett, Dewey Gossett, Junior Gossett, Jeanette Lynch and Helen Ravan.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kim Philbeck (Deno) of Gaffney, SC, Tammy Graves (Danny) of Rowley, MA and Amy Penfield (Les) of Blythewood, SC; his grandchildren, Matt Gentry, Sam Reynolds, Adam Reynolds, Daniel Graves, Rebecca Coccia, Landon Penfield and Cooper Penfield; and his sisters, Betty Jo Lee and Minnie Pearl Mathis. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
