He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Gwinn Gowan; his son Dennis Gowan (Susan) of Spartanburg; his grandchildren, Nathan Gowan (Jordan) and Allison Baucom (Joe); his great grandchildren, Ellie, Sawyer, Margot, Bo and Rosamund; and his cousin Donald Bishop.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the J. M. Dunbar Funeral Home (690 Southport Rd, Roebuck, SC 29376-2517).
