He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederic DeLong and Ruth Hurst Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Betty Danielsen Thompson; his daughter Rachel McGady (Chris) of Charlotte, NC; and his grandsons, Matt and Josh McGady.
