He was predeceased by : his daughter Donna Van Hoy. He is survived by : his spouse Lyda Pickett Simmons; his daughters, Kathye Scriber (Charlie) of Ruston, LA, Tracye Beacham (Billy) of Grandview, TX and Kelli Wolfe (Scott) of Roebuck; his brother Theron Simmons, Jr. of Oswego, IL.; and his grandchildren, Ben Shy, Jacob Shy, Mallory Linck, Chris Van Hoy, Jonathan Van Hoy, Billy Beacham III, Brooke Smallbone, Jordan Beacham, Chase Wolfe, Carson Wolfe and Cooper Wolfe.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg.
