It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Douglas Self of Rock Hill, South Carolina, born in Kershaw, South Carolina, who passed away on September 26, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, L. V. Self and Lottie Self; his daughter Sherri Self; his brothers, Wilson Self, Franklin Dry and Marion Dry; and his great grandchild Kacey Calone.
He is survived by: his children, Laura Gates (Chuck), Robin McWatters (Erk), Terri "Dino" Self of Georgetown, SC, Jan Moore (Tim) of Ashland, KY and Carson "Benny" Self (Marie) of Winnsboro, SC; his siblings, Elaine Howard (Olin) of Andrews, SC, Barbara Mosier of Raleigh, NC, Angela Bailey (Mike) of Fort Lawn, SC, Roland Dry (Carol) of Rock Hill, SC, Bruce Freeman of Vero Beach, FL and Troy Freeman of Fort Pierce, Florida; and his caregivers, Teresa Bell and Raelynn Bell. He is also survived by his 9 grandchildren; his 13 great-grandchildren.
