He was predeceased by: his parents, Welton Franklin Elzey, Sr. and Ida Grace Driskill Elzey; and his siblings, James "Jimmy" Elzey and Betty Elzey Reed. He is survived by: his wife Mary Carolyn Elliott; and his son Welton "Frankie" Elzey III of Gastonia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
