She was predeceased by: her parents, Byrd Thomas and Minnie Thomas; her husband Burt Thrift; her sons, Jack Thrift, Richard Thrift and David Thrift; her granddaughter Sondra Thrift; and her siblings, Johnny of Elby, BT, Phillip, Millard, Harold and Estelle.
She is survived by: her son Eddie; and her daughters-in-law, Sandra Thrift of Rock Hill and Sheila Thrift of York. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM and from 10:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the Lakewood Baptist Church (3520 Mt Gallant Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29732). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:15 PM at the Rock Hill Memorial Gardens (700 Heckle Blvd, Rock Hill, SC 29730).
