He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard S. Denton, Sr. and Norma Buddin Denton. He is survived by: his significant other Donna McConnell of Rock Hill; his siblings, Lynda Denton Guyton (Gary) of Monroe, NC and Richard S. Denton Jr. (Sherry) of Piedmont, SC; and his pets, Jake and Elwood. He is also survived by one nephew; three nieces.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mr. Denton's name to Grace Lutheran Church, 426 Oakland Ave., Rock Hill, SC, 29730.
