He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Van Chambers, Sr. and Enda Inman Chambers McCarter; and his sister Rebecca Elizabeth Chandler. He is survived by: his wife Norma Kay Yow Chambers; his children, Martha Chambers Huddle of Rutherford, NC, Kevin DeWayne Chambers (Rebecca Lee) of Fort Mill, SC and Jeffry Lynn Chambers (Kristen Glenn) of Simpsonville, SC; his grandchildren, Michael Andrew Huddle (Débora), Sarah Elizabeth VanCamp (Kyle), Zachary Andrew Chambers, Tracy Lee Chambers, Jonathan Tate Chambers and Luke Thomas Chambers; his great grandchildren, Gregory and Elena; and his sister Martha Sue Chambers Haney of Canton, NC..
