He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd William Smith and Fannie Lois Edwards Smith. He is survived by: his wife Claudia Dobbin Smith; his daughters, Susan S. Solesbee (Len) of Simpsonville, SC and Kelley L Morabito (Chris) of Rock Hill, SC; his siblings, Bill Smith (Vivian) of Carrollton, VA, James Wayland Smith (Barbara) of Gloucester, VA, Anne Cates of Dunnsville, VA and Marie Carter of Dunnsville, VA; and his grandchildren, Emily Noelle Morabito, Anthony Christopher Morabito and Collin Lane Solesbee.
