He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Rudolph Simon Jr. and Minnie Dreamer Caldwell; his wife Donna Faye Simon; his brothers, James Arnold Simon and Charles David Simon; and his grandson William Michael Ludlam.
He is survived by: his children, Tina Hembree (Mike) of Rock Hill, Sam Simon (Deanna) of Rock Hill and Mark Simon (Erica) of Rock Hill; his grandchildren, Amber (Chase), Gretchen, Abby (Gabby), Austin (Lauren), Cheyenne, Trent (Karee), Spencer (Sydney), Lacey (Spencer), Savannah and Chanse; his siblings, Betty Jean Connor (Dexter) of Chester, Alfred Simon (Carolyn) of Stanley, NC and Roger Lee Simon (Darlene) of Rock Hill; and also, Hallie, Conner, Jake, Oliva, Lane, Spencer, Austin and Jameson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Hospice and Community Care center in Rock Hill.
