It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sylvester Burditt Welch III of Rock Hill, South Carolina, born in Arlington, Virginia, who passed away on November 12, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvester Burditt Welch Jr. and Catherine Barbour Welch; and his wife Patricia Ann Sowell Welch. He is survived by: his sons, Burt Welch (Tammie) of Fort Mill, SC, Bart Welch (Vicki) of Clover, SC, Doug Cobb (Lisa) of Spartanburg, SC and Brent Cobb (Donna) of Atlanta, GA; his brother Syd Welch (Norma) of Ooltewah, TN; his grandchildren, Caroline, Karli, Sarah Beth, Thomas (Haylee), Anna Ruth, Reagan, Palmer and Kennedy; and his great grandchildren, Sally James and Russell Burditt. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Lakewood Baptist Church (3520 Mt Gallant Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29732).
