He was predeceased by: his parents, John P. Shehan, Jr. and Frances Brazzell Shehan; his son Michael Rice; and his sisters, Donna Outlaw and Pam Doyle.
He is survived by: his children, Clayton McFarland of Rock Hill and Amethyst Gramley of St. Petersburg, FL; his siblings, Barbara Bigham, Cathy Walrath and John P. Shehan, III; his half-siblings, Cheri Rice Arrington (Keith), David Rice (Sherry) and Chris Rice (Melinda); his grandchildren, Riley McFarland, Teagan McFarland and Easton Gramley; and his pet Zoe.
