He was predeceased by: his parents, Merton O. Newland and Ruby Giberson Newland; and his wife Ruth Edna Newland. He is survived by: his daughter Laura A. Cronin (Cory) of Clover; his granddaughter Robin Cronin of Clover; and his siblings, Dennis Newland (Shirley) of Greensburg, IN and Phyllis Kelsy (Carmen) of Bloomington, IN. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
