He was predeceased by: his father Leslie Bass Herring; and his sister Shirley L Herring. He is survived by: his mother Elizabeth Carter Herring; his daughter Kyla Herring (Tommaso Rizzo) of Rock Hill; his grandchildren, Brenda Rizzo of Rock Hill and Luigi Rizzo of Rock Hill; and his brother Les Herring (Rebecca) of Rock Hill.
