He is survived by: his mother Bettie Jean Sargeant; his son Brandon Sargeant of Myrtle Beach, SC; and his siblings, Tom Sargeant (Reae) of Alexandria, VA and Jacqueline Washburn (Chris) of Lenoir. He is also survived by five nieces and nephews.
