She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Foster Blackman, Jr. and Unice Geraldine Weed Blackman. She is survived by: her husband Michael W. Carter; her children, Michael T. Carter and Lee Carter Walters; her granddaughter Althea Walters; and her brother Lee "Blackie" Blackman.
