She was predeceased by: her parents, Dermont Tysinger and Edith Tysinger; her husband Gerlad Sidney Taylor; and her daughter Tabatha Lynn Taylor Mullenix. She is survived by: her son Robbin Scott Taylor; and her grandchildren, Michael Scott Taylor, Robyn Elizabeth Taylor, Sidney and Nicklaus Mullenix.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Mrs. Shirley Taylor's name to National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. to PO Box 676910, Dallas, TX 75267-6910.
