He is survived by: his wife Donna Dennig Peterson; his stepchildren, Bart Lanehart and Kaci Lanehart of Louisiana; his mother Melba Thomas Peterson; and his brothers, Bruce Peterson of Rock Hill and Greg Peterson of Spanish Fort, AL. He is also survived by four grandchildren: three nieces and three nephews.
