She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Brooks Whetstone and Jenny Evelyn West Whetstone. She is survived by: her daughters, Tara Clapp (Chris Nauert) of Houston, Ashely Miller (Joshua) of Katy and Cayla Clapp (John Thomas) of Galveston, Texas; her fiancé Jim Howard of Rock Hill; and her siblings, Rick Whetstone (Lynn Denton) of Lancaster, Wayne Whetstone (Missy) of Lancaster, Terry Whetstone (Jenny) of Kershaw, Gwen Parker (David) of Lancaster, Rhonda Ghent of Lancaster, Wanda Wright of Lancaster and Hope Self (Fuzzy Bass) of Lancaster. She is also survived by ten grandchildren.
