He was predeceased by: his parents, William Roy Hovis and Madge Gaston Williams. He is survived by: his wife Jean Healan Hovis; his daughter Jean Stuart Ryan Hovis; his son-in-law Kenneth Richard Evans; and his goddaughter Meri Frances Moore.
